Integrative medicine and Holistic care encompass alternative and complimentary modalities exclusive to the individual and personalized for that patient. These modalities are an adjunct to conventional therapies and are meant to work alongside traditional therapies and treatments.
We understand that western medicine may not always be appealing to our pet parents and offering integrative medicine and therapy fills the gap and allows, in many instances, improved outcomes and longevity. Collaboration with local Veterinary Specialists and practicing Evidenced Based Western and Eastern medicine gives our patients the best possible outcome.
Dr. Brown and her team provide alternative therapies like Acupuncture, Ozone therapy, Nutritional Formulations, Supplement and Herbal recommendations as well as laser therapy.
A full evaluation by Dr. Brown will determine a personalized diagnostic approach and treatment plan.

Dr. Brown Nominated “Game Changer” in Pet Care
Dr. Allison Brown is passionate about integrative medicine for pets, though her interest in this area of medicine did not originate in the practice, but within her own family. When Dr. Brown’s son got sick, she found that an alternative approach to medicine could yield better health outcomes for people. But dogs and cats can also benefit from holistic and nutritional therapies, and Dr. Brown was eager to offer clients an alternative approach to caring for their pets. Trying new modalities for her pet patients opens the door to more treatment options, and the chance to help them live healthier, happier lives with their families.
In recognition of her dedication and outstanding efforts to elevate care for her patients, Dr. Brown has been nominated for a Game Changer award. All of us at Dongan Hills Veterinary Practice are extremely proud of what Dr. Brown has accomplished and we are excited to help more pets and people with the integrative services we offer!
